Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our mornings start in Spanish. We share major highlights of the day and off we go to a day where we work 70% in Spanish and 30% in English.

Can you think for a minute how your life would be without technology?

Without access to the Internet.... As a group of 4th graders, limited resources are always an issue. But the word "limit" is not in my students' minds. They are a group of extremely curious, intelligent, and vivacious kids. As their teacher I am confident that if I give them the world, they will find the answers to whatever questions they may have.

My Project

So much of our 4th grade curriculum requires research, however, with the limited number of resources it is hard to engage every student, and find the information we need. I believe technology, when used properly, can enhance students learning, opening the door to a new world of possibilities. That is why these tablets will come to the rescue! Having these 2 tablets will allow students to access the Internet, watch educational videos, and become proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel), and typing overall. Education is what changes society. Education is the foundation of a better world. Your contribution will impact my students more than you could possibly imagine and for that I am really grateful.

With 22 students and 2 tablets (which we currently have) it is really hard to let everyone have access to technology.

Many of my students come from homes where there is no access to Internet and/or a computer at all. Working on projects that require students to type (Office Products) is really challenging. Your donation and help to this project will truly change the way we help our students to become world citizens.
