My Students

My second graders are are the best! They have a hunger to learn. They love to learn using technology. My students use computers to navigate programs to help them in reading, math, social studies and science. They are eager to learn and try new things.

My students are always looking for ways to advance their education whether its through reading or inquiry. Technology allows them to explore places that some of them might not be able to go to or learn about through the pages of a book. As a teacher I believe in teaching the whole child. The classroom extends itself and should be endless! Technology is way of endless possibilities. Allowing young children to navigate images and sources at the click of a button.

My Project

I choose a laptop that has an HDMI portal. The laptop will project crystal clear images onto the smartboard to enhance instruction for all students. The clarity from the computer will give students a better visualization when showing videos for instruction.

The laptop allows instruction to be differentiated for all students.

Especially for struggling learners. Students will be able to access programs like mystery science and i-ready. These programs provide instruction for children on many different levels.

The students are also able to play math games to enhance math computation. Technology is always needed in the classroom especially for this generation!
