My Students

The 150 students, I serve each week are made up of a diverse student learner including students from racially, ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse families and communities of lower socioeconomic status. Their diverse backgrounds, varying educational levels, and confidence levels make my job an exciting challenge each and everyday.

We are a college bound campus filled with positive attitudes, smiling faces, and joyful student learns.

Our students love technology but have very limited access and knowledge as to how technology can transform their educational goals. I would love to show my students how technology can transform their math skills.

My Project

Since Hurricane Harvey, my school was a recipient of an influx of displaced students. Some of these students are now permanently joining our campus. While we were happy to be able to take on more scholars, this addition did add to our already challenging campus dynamic. Being in a school population with so many students having varying educational needs, it can be hard to meet every student need at the exact same time. I would like to use technology to help bridge the varying math deficiencies that our students learn have which will allow for our small group differentiation to be even more effective.

Our 3 iPads will be used for programs like Dream Box, Imagine Math, and helping student learn brush up on basic skills through online math drills.
