Our school is located in the heart of the community. We have a large ELD (English Language Learners) population and about 92% of our students come from low-income families.
My first graders have the opportunity to enhance their technology skills with our 1:1 tablets.
Students use tablets to learn basic technology skills such as typing, researching and creating slideshow presentations.
Students also have the opportunity to use the tablet to record themselves reading or explaining math problems. I would like for students to have the tools needed to properly record themselves, when reading or explaining math problems. We would love to be able to get accessories to enhance are one on one tablet experience.
My Project
The headphones and tablet stands will truly make a difference in my students’ learning because it will help facilitate recording themselves when reading and explaining math problems. When students are able to record themselves reading I am able to provide one on one feedback. I am also able to listen to each individual student read, and it's a great way for them to track their progress. The speaker will also help students to give oral presentations to their peers and help them practice public speaking.
The headphones, speaker and tablet stands will help students to participate in various activities with their tablets and help them with public speaking.
My first graders would love to be able to use their tablet to their full potential and with the headphones, speaker and tablet stands, they will be able to do so.
