This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 9th grade students need a secure space to store their electronic devices as they are learning about digital citizenship and responsible technology use. Teachers at our school are promoting "Tech with Integrity" this year to teach students healthy habits and encourage students to engage in their courses without the distraction of cell phones.

This project will provide all 9th grade teachers with a secure cell phone storage unit for the students in their classroom to use daily.

Eliminating cell phone distractions during the school day will help students to not only engage in their academic coursework, but also support their social and emotional development as they develop skills for interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and time management.
