My Project

The modern classroom setup needs to be ready to move at any given time. We are entering a new phase in education where teaching can be taught anywhere remotely. Our technology needs to be up to date as well as ready to move.

My experience teaching students remotely in the 2020-2021 school year has taught me that our technology needs to be up-to-date and ready to move wherever and whenever.

In the past, I was very hesitant about screen time for my students. Screen time, used improperly, can have detrimental effects on young children and their development. However, without screen devices, students would not have been able to receive an education when they were learning from home. Even for in-person learners, there may come a time when students will have to learn remotely at any given moment. Screens and technology can be educational and engaging when used properly. I am more conscious about using screens in the proper way for my students. That way, when we do go remote, the content presented isn't foreign to them and we can pick up where we left off in person. The way technology has been implemented in my classroom this year, I believe, is innovative and can spearhead the way tech is implemented in the early childhood classroom.

My classroom has been upgraded with amazing technology that keeps my learners engaged. I want to be able to show teachers at my school how to do it in their own classrooms. The Apple Pro will be a hub to show and share with teachers how to create engaging content for their students and parents. All content will be saved on the Mac mini so it is portable to every classroom to share with teachers, students, and even parents.
