My Students

Our school will be offering an all virtual option this coming school year. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds but all have a willingness to learn. Many of our teachers are innovators in their fields and are trying to accommodate the needs of all of our students.

Our students are energetic and love to learn.

They are curious about the world around them. These challenging times have made it difficult for all students to get the resources they need. Supplies for virtual learning are vital right now as well as tools for creativity and self-expression.

My Project

This coming year I will be teaching all virtual classes. Online tools such as GimKit, Deck.toys, and Wizer.me are not only going to be convenient, they are going to be necessary. These online tools will allow me to interact with students in real-time while teaching a lesson, give students immediate feedback, and provide an easy platform for them to complete and submit work.

These digital tools are both engaging and easy to use when teaching and learning through a virtual class.

With Deck.toys all students are able to be active participants in the lesson by completing tasks, challenging other classmates, interacting in a variety of online games, watching videos, and following along in live teacher mode. GimKit is a fun and exciting online game platform that allows the students to work in teams or as individuals. There are multiple game modes for the teacher to choose from and they can be used in a live class setting or as independent work. And finally Wizer.me is an online platform that allows the teacher to create virtual worksheets. These interactive worksheets are self-grading to provide instant feedback, can be actively monitored by the teacher, and have a wide range of options for questioning style. These are going to be vital tools to have when teaching virtually and will be used to fully engage the students and help them to understand and learn the content.
