My Students

My students are the best! I am not just saying that; they really are the best. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances, each offering a unique perspective and special insights. They are tenacious, kind, hardworking, and compassionate individuals. They have overcome so much adversity and challenge since we moved to remote learning in March 2020, and they never cease to amaze me with how they keep going and how they motivate and inspire each other in these unprecedented times. My students have organized sit-ins, virtual group counseling sessions, Model United Nations virtual conferences, "Real Talk" time, tutoring, cooking shows, and the list goes on, just to keep our community going and building a better tomorrow.

My Project

Remote learning has been both challenging and exciting. We are all learning new things and being pushed to grow and adapt in new ways. Unfortunately for my computer, it was pushed a little too hard and was defeated, returned to the Department of Education for some maintenance. With a shortage of technology right now at our school and the Department of Education, it falls on teachers to secure our technology to keep remote learning going. This is why I am turning to you, donors, to help me. Help my students continue to make remote learning successful with a new computer, one that has additional memory space, and functionality for our video lessons, our recorded presentations, and all of our virtual classes.
