Help Mr. Bell

My Students

My students are in an urban district, with every child receiving free lunch due to high poverty. Our school is in jeopardy of being taken over by the state. With a huge financial deficit, it makes it impossible to buy supplies directly through our school system.

Many of my kids have learning disabilities and benefit from hands-on activities at different levels, allowing me to differentiate their classwork.

These children deserve the very best to overcome the poverty cycle and allow them to be college-bound!

My Project

The NGSS Science Standards are here to stay...at least for now! As we all know that we live in the age of science and technology. One of the essential components for student engagement is increased interactivity in the classroom, so that students are not merely passive absorbers of information, but play an active role in their own education using technology to find information. This laptop will be necessary for interactive dissections during the biology NGSS curriculum, interactive sites used for teaching physics (motions and forces) and many other useful ways to teach the sciences in the classroom. The life of every one of us is highly depends on the scientific inventions and modern day technologies. Science and technology has changed the lives of people to a great extent. It has made life easy, simple and fast. In order to enhance the economy and betterment of the people of any nation, up-to-date knowledge, technology, science, and engineering are the fundamental requisites.

I'm requesting this laptop to use as a main source in my classroom for power-points, Microsoft word and works, student typed homework and research papers, lab activities and projects, aka experiments, and a variety of other uses the Chromebook does not have.

Being a teacher these days means being very creative and without certain aspects of technology is not possible in the 21st century. I'm slowly creating a technology-based classroom to satisfy the NGSS National science standards throughout the United States. Please help my classroom by supporting a necessary piece of technology to keep the science minds going.
