My Students

My extra-curricular basketball sports team has allowed my students to remain active and create healthy lifestyle choices. This team is an all-boys team that provides them with resources, including educational packets on a healthy lifestyle, hygienic changes, and much more. They enjoy getting the information and learning as we also enjoy the game.

My Project

During this coronavirus pandemic, my students are going through a difficult time with housing situations, remote learning, getting materials to continue learning, and keeping a sense of comfort. Our families are struggling, they come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community.

I have included an HP laptop that will be used by the students and I for lessons, hooking onto the projection screen so we can all view the lessons and giving all students an opportunity to work hands on with technology in the classroom.

Allowing our students to be able to print and research information on different health topics will be beneficial to us all. Many of our students need hands on materials to grasp the concept of the topics at hand. Therefore providing them with this resource will allow them to continue to learn in their own personal way.

These students rely on me to make their classroom a comforting, safe and inviting place where they can continue to learn and thrive.
