Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! Most of them enter into their educational career with a wealth of prior knowledge. This enables me to provide an accelerated curriculum with much ease.

They become extremely excited when we are able to incorporate technology into the lessons.

In many cases they are advanced to the point where even in the fourth grade, they are proficient with Microsoft programs such are Word and PowerPoint. In addition to their extensive knowledge, they are critical thinkers who consistently work to the best of their ability.

My Project

Technology is absolutely necessary in the classroom. It generates a path into 21st century learning. With access to technology in the classroom students are able to approach their learning in a variety of ways.

During instructional time, students can work collaboratively, while sitting together in our designated computer center, or comfortably at their individual desk.

Laptops are mobile which increases the opportunity for usage. With the Laptops, they are able to access a plethora of educational applications.

They can conduct research which can then be used for presentations through power points or even a word document. These devices will also allow us to communicate outside of the classroom through virtual field trips.
