Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

While this coming school year is going to start like no other, I know I have a great group of students coming to me in the fall. My students are thoughtful, creative, and independent learners! They start the day ready to learn, and take on any challenge!

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.

We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

The document camera will allow the students to visualize better, and let me model the work for them as it should be. They'll be able to see my handwriting as I form the letters, and numbers, and allow me for instructional time instead of taking the time to move the camera to adjust. We know these primary years are so important for developing learners, and I would like to give them as much as possible, even while learning virtually!

While I am using different websites to simulate manipulatives we would otherwise have in the classroom, offering them the visual will greatly help them understand my expectations and what they should be doing.
