This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In transitioning with the current pandemic I have had to learn to think about assisting my students in new ways. Since we are not in a physical building I have had to pursue different avenues to get results from my students. Student engagement is also another opportunity of growth, trying to get them engaged. I have ideas I want to implement but need to use a single device (unlike a whole laptop) in order to travel different places more efficiently.

Currently, right now I am utilizing many sites and streamlining access to myself and resources so I'm not spread too thin.

So I've had a thought to start making videos of my doing some examples with manipulative but am in need of another device to record on due to only having one device. Having a tablet too would just simply meet this need.

My Project

When teaching there are times in which, if I could have another adult work on more specific skills for certain students who need more help, it would make a world of difference. Providing another device allows for this to be possible. It's almost like being able to teach 2 lessons at one time. Every teacher at times wishes they could multiply themselves.

I am currently working on one device but this tablet will allow me to connect with my students live on one device as I share out different concepts on another via math programming on another at the same time.

While teaching in our home learning modules, it would allow me to run programs for different groups of kids at the same time and all the work comes back graded and data compiled.
