Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a Title I School; we are located in a low income neighborhood. They are eager to learn but lack the necessary supplies. School starts in August, and parents struggle to purchase supplies or even uniforms.

Hurricane Harvey left us devastated and now we are on the road to recovery.

They come to school with hopes and dreams. I want to enhance their dreams by increasing their knowledge. Fifth grade is a crossroads for my students as they are on their way to middle school. My students enjoy working on workstations.

My Project

We are in the age of technology and we need our students to become explores, innovators, thinkers and

creators.

With this project my goal is to guide my students to become tech savvy by making projects with this printer/cutter. This printer not only prints but also cuts in a variety of materials. The printer can create prints that can be press on t-shirts, totes and variety of drink ware. I want to help my students make amazing gifts and t-shirts. We are requesting a Circuit Machine and a heat press to create wonderful memories. My students will be creating Mothers day, Christmas day, and even Valentines day gifts. We are innovators and makers, we learn from what we create.

I am looking forward to creating amazing projects. We can even make our own field day t-shirts or grade level t-shirts. The possibilities are endless on what our students can create.

Also I am requesting Christmas gift bags and stocking suffers. Every Christmas I go out and purchase gifts for my students. Not sure if my students will have gifts at home. I want to make sure they receive a gift from me.
