Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school mostly consist of ELL students and is in a low social economic area. Many students lack technology at home due to high cost of these tools and internet services. They also do not have access to printers. As fourth graders, they are expected to conduct research and find information for projects and home learning assignments. As a result of these limitations at home, more technology resources are needed in our classroom. In addition, school provides them with some resources, but does not provide any ink for our printers, extra tools for individual student use and computer accessories. These resources are a great way to show academic growth and facilitate instructional delivery.

My Project

Students will greatly benefit from technology exposure. For example, a class laptop for research and ink for their printing needs. They will also have headphones for their individualized class computer assignments and lessons. The students will learn how to manage their class time wisely with the use of a smartwatch.

These resources will allow students to improve their technology skills while facilitating and increasing their academic abilities too.

All students will learn how to use and be exposed to readily available resources while in class. These skills will be a readiness asset for them now and for their successful futures.
