Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of my students are from a different country. Our culture is new to them and they are fascinated by all that is going on. You can see this in the classroom, as they are always eager to share their experience in this country.

Most of my students had just arrived from a different country so they are learning the language.

At this school we try to make the transition as smooth as possible. We try to encourage them to take risk and continue to learn English. These students are very smart, they just need additional resources.

My Project

We will use the document camera to display other student work and celebrate it. The magazines will expose them to a different world out there. The printer is to print out essays and additional resources. Since most of my students speak a different language I translate things to them so a document holder will make it easier to do.

The donations will show the students that there are people out there that care for their education.

It will make the learning process a bit easier. These students live in a rough neighborhood with parents that are struggling. Let's show them that there is more available to them.
