My Project
My inclusion students have a great sense of humor and a desire to learn. They enjoy classroom activities that are full of energy, but also challenge their thinking. My kids struggle in the general classroom with reading out aloud, fluency, and comprehension.
Technology is at the center of our lives, and it makes learning easier for a student with a disability in the classroom.
Because technology is not available for all students, many are unable to participate in class and complete their assignments and utilize the online reader that makes reading comprehension easier.
My inclusion students would benefit from having Android tablets so that they can complete their lessons provided by Edgenuity, a computer-based intervention program. My students are in need of literacy intervention because it is the basis for all learning, and becoming a great reader will benefit them throughout their lives. The opportunity to help my students move to a higher reading grade level will encourage them to read for enjoyment as well as to make them more comfortable in the general education classroom.
