My Students

Save our sanity and help us access the Internet, FAST! We live in a technology world, and need our chance to shine with a computer dedicated to Internet use, with updated software.

My students are the stars in my eyes.

They are a gifted group of fourth and fifth grade students, with huge potential, given the right opportunities and environment in which to flourish. These students are impressive leaders in and out of the classroom. They act as play leaders for the kindergarten students, as well as the leaders of the school in the form of student council members. They run canned food drives, write letters to the troops during the holidays, and are respectful to all staff and support staff at the school. They deserve better resources in the classroom to help them access real time information on the Internet.

My Project

The Google Chrome computers will change the way we work in the classroom. Access to the Internet is vital for our research projects, and Internet based activities that tie into our language arts, mathematics, and science curriculum. We have two working computers in a class of thirty students. We have about twenty working computers in the computer lab, which we have access to once a week during our lab time. Our students need to be able to use technology in order to be competitive in the market place as adults.

This project would not only help this group of students, but future groups of students in my class.
