This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In today's society, technology is incorporated into learning. We are starting to do centers, but we only have 2 computers. Each group has 4 or 5 students. The students would benefit more if they were all using a tablet, iPad, or computer at the same time instead of taking turns. My students come from many different and often difficult situations where they do not have access to computers, iPads, or tablets. We want them to be successful, and having these tools will help them be successful.

My Project

Having the set of tablets will allow for different centers of learning in my classroom. The kids will be going to different educational websites to help them with different skills in reading and math. I could download apps for various skills, which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students. Students will also be able to make an electronic portfolio on Seesaw documenting their work. They will be able to take pictures, draw pictures, and record their voices on this app. They will be more engaged and therefore they will enjoy learning more. Their parents can also see their progress throughout the year through this app.
