Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A school in Alphabet City, New York City is stuck in the alphabet when really they need the internet. My 4th grade class is stuck in an era without computers. Amazing, eager, hardworking and savvy with the little technology they are exposed to describes my students. I want to change that by exposing my students to technology that will broaden their awareness and give them a hands on experience.

My school is an urban community that serves prek-5 students.

Considering this is a Title I school, 100% of our student population receive free lunch because students are from low-income households plagued by poverty and depleted resources.

However, it is my goal as an educator to provide my students a safe learning community where they are able to explore, create, expand, apply, and challenge themselves as they journey along the road to college and career readiness.

My Project

My students love technology and we just don't have it in the classroom. Chromebooks would help my students with mathematics, literacy, history, and much more. The exposure to technology would help them master their skills in all subjects. Chromebooks will allow a different structure of learning for students in the classroom that is hands on and stimulating.

My students deserve the chance to daily access to technology no matter the circumstance.

They will be used daily as part of our reading , writing and math centers. Your donation to this project will improve our classroom by building stronger readers, writers and mathematicians.
