My Students

I am a new special education teacher and I have not had the opportunity to meet my students just yet (will meet them come September). I am very excited to start this journey, but I do need a lot for my classroom and future classrooms. It will be hard enough to buy most supplies with my own money, but I really cannot afford to integrate technology into my classroom. Technology in the classroom can help students become more motivated and engaged. It can also provide an opportunity for students who are non-verbal, have physical disabilities, and/or struggling with participation in the classroom (may feel they do not know, afraid of getting made fun of, etc...) the chance to feel successful and accomplished. There is a multitude of websites, apps, and other resources that my students will be able to use to better their academic and social skills. Any donations will help. Thank you in advance!

My Project

These tablets can help my students in numerous ways, from vocational skills to meeting assessment goals! The tablets can help engage my students. Apps such as Google docs, slides, and classroom, as well as splash math, abcya, and other educational apps will help my students better understand concepts. Other games that can help my students improve their social skills by working in a group will also be used. These apps include but are not limited to Kahoot and Plickers. Lastly, students can follow along and take assessments using a multitude of websites. Thanks in advance! I know my students will be so happy when they get them!
