My Students

My favorite quote is "They don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care" by Theodore Roosevelt.

My goal is have my students understand they are able, capable and believed in.

Having the opportunity to show my students I value and care about their education, builds bridges of trust.

We are located in a dangerous area, where poverty is high and literacy is low.

Coming from many bilingual homes, these students do not get the exposure to the English language that they need in order to improve in certain aspects of school. My students are not on grade level for reading, writing, and math and are diagnosed with multiple and varied disabilities. Having the ability to incorporate technology into the classroom, will mean the world to them.

My students come to school thinking it is a task and not something worth their while. I want to give them the tools they need to feel successful and realize they are and can be more than they think.

My Project

These materials will help my students gain access to the Internet when needed. My students are learning to take responsibility for their own learning, and we are focusing more on group and independent research projects. These Chromebooks are necessary in order to provide each group with a working, fully functioning laptop to do their research. My students enjoy using the Internet to learn new pieces of information as well as look up pictures and watch videos as a variety of sources, to help them understand. These laptops would be a valuable resource to my students every day inside our classroom.
