Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We need some tech in our teach. I currently have my personalized iPad air in the classroom and have experienced what a great motivational, and educational tool it is for our students, especially my students with disabilities.

I currently teach students with disabilities, who have a range of disabilities from learning to speech impairments.

Our school is a failing school with limited funding and is not able to provide students with a variety of technologies needed to enhance the curriculum. Unfortunately many students don't have access to technology at home and the library is so limited.

My Project

My students could use an iPad to read interactive books from apps such as Raz-Kids, record their voices when reading, use it as a listening center, play math games to improve or enhance their math skills. It could also serve as a motivational tool when students are being disruptive, they could save up points to buy some free time with the iPad. The list is endless of what they could do with an iPad in the classroom, it is truly an educational blessing.

Having an iPad in the classroom is an absolutely amazing educational technological tool.

Having just one iPad is not enough for a group of students. Having this iPad will provide such a wonderful experience to the classroom and lessons. Just imagine students doing research and being able to watch videos, search the web and type up their reports from a small device that doesn't take up much space and is engaging.
