My Project

During the pandemic, many students chose to go online for their learning. Quite frankly, many chose not to do school at all. This was the case for many of my students at my Title 1 school. As families and students returned to regular in person learning, we received more families that spoke a different language. At Overland High School there are over 60 different languages spoken. It is difficult to impossible to communicate with them all and this creates barriers to them and their student's success. As a counselor, I am often the first face they see in the school. Having quick access to the Pocketalk Translator will help remove that barrier and allow me to create a positive relationship with the family and student.
