Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are unique. They enjoy read alouds and math. They love to dance with me. We enjoy having a quick Just Dance at the end of the day or before lunch. Getting to know each student is very important. They all have different needs. I enjoy talking to them and getting to know their personalities.

My students are very diverse.

Some students are learning Spanish and some students are learning English. More technology in the classroom would help me meet the needs of my students during reading and math. iPads and headphones would help my students receive differentiate instruction and support during centers and independent work. They would be able to go on the iPads and read stories or listen to stories on their reading level. Students would be able to use iPads and headphones to practice math skills as well. My low readers would be able to listen to the directions with the headphones without distracting the class.

Students would be using apps to help them develop their second language as well.
