Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class consists of 16 amazing students. Of those students, I have seven students within the autism spectrum. This is one of the most innovative and creative groups of students with dynamic ideas that should not be ignored! With a small class, all students are given adequate attention to help them flourish in their academics. My students are all creative and take initiative in their own learning every day in our classroom. They are always asking questions for further understanding when something new is presented to them. All of my students enjoy activities that involve the use of technology and tactical materials. My students are inquisitive and often explore beyond our intended lessons. My students are highly motivated and every day they teach me something new, and I appreciate that most about my class.

My Project

We recently received some wonderful tech devices to support students learning and integration back into the classroom after such a long 18 months of remote learning. We have recently received two new students in our class. We strive to ensure that all students receive the same materials and access to the same equipment. Although students are excited to be a part of the class we want to ensure that they feel no different from the other students. We use tech devices for STEAM projects, research reports, and instructional engagement. These two laptops would support our two new students and make them feel a part of our class.
