My Students

I love teaching and I love technology. In fact, last year, I presented at 5 different educational technology conferences! How sad is it, that I can't do all of the tech and projects I want to with my students? In my classroom, I have one computer for teacher use. I have ZERO for student use

My class is 6th grade English, reading, and history at a small public middle school in Northern California.

They are fantastic kids who are eager to learn and explore. I have two groups of students each day, so approximately 60 kids total. My students spend half of the day with me, and the other half in science, math, pe, and an elective. My students are living in the 21st century, but stuck in the Stone Age without technology.

My Project

My students would be able to do so much if I had Chromebooks in my classroom. We would be able to research, write, collaborate, create websites, video, podcasts, slide shows and so much more. Our school is a google apps for education school, so they do have access to all of these great products, they just need the tools to be able to access them!

This donation would allow me to increase the amount of technology based assignments and assessments that I am able to do.

My students need to be prepared for the 21st century of learning.
