Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I will be teaching computer science to scholars that are either in general education, special education, ICT and transitional bilingual setting.

The scholars of my school have such a strong desire and drive to move to the 21st century in technology.

Our scholars desire to learn with the right resources and tools. We are currently a focus school and with your help, we can get out of being one. These scholars are passionate and want to increase their knowledge and confidence with the use of technology.

My Project

My students have a passion that needs to be fueled. Creating experiences with robots, building robotics and continuing to learn how to coding in a non threatening safe environment will drive them to the next level. Facing challenges head on, or even creating the next antidote for a disease will make them feel like they contributed to society.

The scholars of my school will begin to develop the necessary skills needed to compete in the 21st century and beyond.

This year, the scholars continued to learn how to code from the ground up. They wish to how to make robots as well as code using robots. These requested project materials will help them to do both. The littleBits code kit,Star Wars droid inventor kit, wonder dot robot and the Samsung Chromebook computer will speed up the process.

These materials will help build their confidence beyond measure and increase their writing, math and reading skills as well.
