This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me ensure that our history classroom has some additional technology to prepare students for success in a tech-driven world. While we currently have some devices in our classroom, several need repair, and we don’t have enough for a full class set. Moving closer to a complete set will help provide more equitable access to digital platforms like Google Classroom, interactive history websites, and digital educational tools for engaging Regents exam preparation. With these additional laptops and a charging station, my students will be able to complete assignments digitally, conduct research, and develop the historical analysis and writing skills that are critical for both academic success and thriving in today’s technology-centered world.

My goal is to use technology to better support my English Language Learners (ELLs) through translation apps and visual resources and to provide my students with IEPs access to tools like text-to-speech, interactive graphic organizers, and educational games that will reinforce learning.

By incorporating multiple modalities and digital tools that cater to various learning styles, I can create a more inclusive and engaging learning environment where students can access content that best supports their needs.

These devices will also allow me to differentiate instruction more effectively and share digital resources in Google Classroom, making history more accessible and engaging for all students. My students are eager and resilient learners from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our history discussions. Many of them are ELLs, students with IEPs, or struggling readers who benefit greatly from technology-based resources. With your support, we can empower every student to participate fully, build confidence, and reach their full potential!
