My Students

My students walk into school eager to start each and every day. We start our days by spending fifteen minutes to gain focus, support students who need encouragement, and make sure we are all ready to learn from each other.

Our school is K-5 and has a diverse group of students.

We have endured so much this past year, and so much has changed. Kids have shown their resilience and learned to be flexible and adapt. I would like to create a classroom environment that encourages their new flexible nature.

Our class is full of bright minds with great ideas waiting to be shared with the world. We work on multiple projects throughout the year to share with our school and our community. Now that we are starting to return to in-person education, I want to help provide an amazing educational experience. My goal is to leave all of my students with a lifelong passion for learning. If my students are excited to be in the classroom, meaningful learning will be more obtainable.

My Project

Throughout distance learning students were deprived of necessary social skills and opportunities to work in teams. As students grow they need to learn how to work towards a common goal and support others rather than only rooting for themselves.

With this project I want my students to be able to participate in hands on activities like building structures using magnets and blocks and mindfulness activities with fidgets and coping tools.

Doing this as a part of a team provides chances to work on problem solving, teamwork, social skills, and many other skills they weren't able to access during distance education.
