This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are excited about learning! They love to collaborate, explore and learn new things. They especially enjoy reading, science and technology! They are kind children who are very thoughtful and caring. They are inquisitive learners and it is a real pleasure and privilege to be their teacher.

My students are low income and are from disadvantage backgrounds.

My students attend an inner city school with limited resources. Our school does an amazing job at sharing resources, yet materials are still scarce.

My Project

Have you ever been so excited during a game that the ball you hit went over the fence? Well, this is the current situation that my students are experiencing. Because of their excitement, they lost almost all of their equipment. My students currently have only one ball to use during their recess time and physical education class. Together my students and I made a list of our dream supplies for our physical education class! They are very excited about this great opportunity and would greatly appreciate your donation!

My students need various balls, jump ropes, a ball bag, a hand pump, and a racquet set.

This equipment will be used in teaching team building activities with our class and two other classes (Fourth and Third graders). This equipment will be shared between three classes and provide many memorable experiences for the students! We will be using this equipment to teach the students different sports like basketball and kickball. Students will be able to take this equipment to recess to use and this will provide them with many opportunities to use their imagination and improve their physical fitness! They will learn to work in a team, develop their social skills, and reduce their stress as they are using the balls and other equipment during recess and P.E. This equipment will provide many opportunities for all the fourth graders at my school (and a group of third graders) to learn how to collaborate and problem solve in a team setting.

Lastly, they will always remember that wishes and dreams can come true after you help them fulfill their goal!
