My Students

Help us move into the world of technology! With phones that play games and connect to the Internet, online textbooks, and Smart boards in the classroom, we want a chance to explore on our own and learn to use the different kinds of technology that is all around us.

My students are the best first graders in Georgia!

They are so very enthusiastic about learning and are such hard workers. They inspire ME and make me want to be a better teacher each day. They greatly deserve to get new and exciting things for our classroom that will help them learn and also provide some FUN!

My Project

I am asking for the Coby Kyros Tablet with 4GB Memory so that I can bring additional technology into the classroom. I have a Smart Board, but it's not great for doing small groups (which I do in both reading and self-paced math) as it would distract the other students that are working in the classroom. With this tablet I can download books and games for the students to read and play that they can use individually for intervention, enrichment, or a reward. It can also be used in a small group to teach lessons.

I am very excited about the prospect of bringing this in for my kids!

They will get such a more hands-on approach to the technology that is all around us. They would really love it and I feel like it would inspire them to be even greater than they already strive to be!
