Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am currently a coach for the boys track team at a local high school. The school has lost most of its funding for many of the athletic teams, due to budget cuts. The team uniform that the boys currently wear are the worse-for-wear. Many of the boys have to share the tops and bottoms, and families cannot afford to purchase them. We are in search of sponsors and have been having, without much success, fundraisers to collect money for uniforms, equipment, shoes, busses. etc. At the present time we are in desperate need of school uniforms. The uniforms build team spirit, and allow the boys to show their team at its best. Young ladies are not the only ones who suffer from low self-esteem -- boys do too. I've seen their faces when they have to put on another's team members' jersey. I'd like to thank you in advance for any and all help given to help the team.
