Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Shouldn't every child living in the 21st century have the opportunity to use up -to -date technology in their classroom? Well, due to lack of resources and funding, my students have limited opportunities to do so.

My fifth graders are between the ages of eleven and twelve.

They come from a diverse range of academic abilities and emotional needs. Their attendance is fantastic. They are eager to please and get excited to learn new things. They love to work on the 1 computer we have in our classroom. Our school services 420 students, 99% of whom qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. The school is located in an inner city high poverty neighborhood where the crime rate is high.

My Project

With your generosity, these e-readers will help foster a lifelong love of Reading for my students. Engaging students in Reading with Technology, their excitement for reading will increase. Their comprehension skills will further develop and their ability to grapple with difficult texts will be enhanced. The children's rate and accuracy will also improve.

All students deserve the opportunity to become technologically literate.

By having a variety of devices in our classroom, my students will excel and feel comfortable interacting with technology in their everyday lives. With your donation, you will help us begin our journey in updating our technology and giving my inner city students an opportunity they deserve.
