My Students

During an average day at school, students will use iPads to strengthen skills during work stations and small group times during both reading and math. Students can enjoy games that will help make solid what they know while building the next skill needed to be successful at school.

The school where I work, is an urban school with a high poverty rate.

Students are often eager to learn, but come to school lacking basic social, emotional, and academic skills. One of the biggest challenges as an educator is meeting students where they are and making the most of our time together to make the greatest gains. Parents are often willing to help, and technology is a fun and engaging way to reach parents and students.

My Project

Students will use the iPads to help focus on learning letters, sounds, sight words and numbers, addition and subtraction during small group time and as well as whole group. We will also use the iPads as a whole class to play sight word games and integrate technology with math using iPads with the interactive whiteboard.

Your donations will help students experience success in school and make the gains needed to be ready for the next grade.

Students will work in small groups and individually to practice skills that need to be strengthened while being engaged in fun activities.
