My Students

Ever have students that just don't seem motivated or willing to learn? In today's world of technology and tech savvy people, it's important to provide an opportunity to our students to maintain a competitive edge with other students in surrounding areas

We are a Title 1 (socio-economically disadvantaged) school in an urban center of Southern California where most of our students participate in the free lunch program.

Even with the socio-disadvantaged status we have a tight knit community with great parent and neighborhood involvement. I have 20 super first and kindergarten students that love to learn through technology.

My Project

An interactive touch tablet would be used in the classroom in so many ways. There are so many different learning modalities that this tablet would allow students to see, hear, or retrieve information with a swipe of a finger. This tablet would also allow me to download book, media, applications to increase reading skills.

In this world that we live in of technology, it is my responsible as an educator to engage my students in learning through technology and close the technology gap among disadvantaged students.
