My Project

I am an Adapted Physical Education teacher for high school students with various special needs including Autism and Intellectual Disability. I am creating this project to gain the basic items we need to support our students many needs, especially their mental wellness.

As a physical education teacher for students with special needs, it is important to set up a space where students needs are met.

This includes mental wellness. Many of our students come from low income families and all receive free breakfast and lunch. However, sometimes student minds need a snack or a sensory break to be able to stay focused and continue learning throughout the school day.

These resources will allow me to supply my athletic office, where students often come to visit, with student-accessible snacks, drinks, and fidget items and flexible seating.
