My Students

My students are energetic, fun loving and inquisitive! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging activities that they can connect to their life skills learning curriculum! They come to school each day ready to try new things and eager to learn how to live in the community independently. To encourage their independence and help them to make real-world connections in the classroom appliances and cooking that would be found in the kitchen would be appreciated.

The connection of cooking and learning will help my students to reach their goal of independence.

They are looking forward to all of the goodies they can create with their new appliances.

My Project

These necessary materials, that we require, will help our special needs students develop life skills through cooking. The life skills instruction will advance their abilities in everyday tasks which include problem solving, reasoning, writing, reading, math, language, communication and fine motor planning. These necessary skills will help our students gain the independence that is incredibly important for adulthood.

The goals of our program are to teach and prepare our students for independent living that will benefit them in the real world.

These simple daily tasks are challenging and extremely difficult to learn for our special needs students. Through these donations they will obtain success!
