Our new normal of teaching is taking a lot to get used to but my students and I are learning to adapt and roll with the punches. Every week seems to be getting a little easier, but with the constant changing of our learning styles: 100% virtual to hybrid to 100% face to face we are being faced with many new challenges.
My students have so much potential, and I strive to provide them with everything they need in order to succeed!
Even though this year has been tough on everyone and my students are still coming to school with smiles on their faces ready to learn.
Through my experience, teaching is much easier and the students show more growth when necessary materials are available for use in our classroom. Unfortunately, I cannot always provide the necessary materials.
The year 2020 has been interesting to say the least! I consider myself a very technologic person but I have learned so much this school year and it is only December.
I am currently using a work laptop that is around 10 years old and operating on Windows 7.
It has not be very reliable and I need to use it on a daily basis to attend professional development seminars as well as teaching in my classroom.
With the transition to everything being virtual I would love to have a device that I can dedicate as my work device. I have been using my personal laptop more frequently and it can get very hectic having all of my materials & files combined on one device. Having a laptop solely dedicated to work will allow me to continue to provide a quality education to my students as well as allowing me to continue my personal education by attending professional development seminars.
