My Students

I am a Special Education teacher in Canarsie Brooklyn. I teach a self-contained,12:1:1 class and I have students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. My students are eager to learn and full of energy.

Students in my class are compassionate and creative.

As Exceptional learners, having the proper resources is very important to my students, and is truly valued.

My Project

In order for me to better help my students and give them the educational materials that they need to succeed we need a classroom printer. Having a printer in the classroom gives me the accessibility I need to provide the proper assignments for my students. I also ask for bulletin board supplies so that I can post my students' accomplishments to keep them motivated.

Having a classroom printer and supplies for our bulletin board will give my students the motivation they need to be successful.

The printers are very limited in the school and I have been printing things from my own printer at home. A printer will allow me to print out my students’ resources at school and have them accessible for others to use as well. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student grades and self-esteem you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
