Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Small groups are the best way to support student learning.

With such a diverse group of learning styles and levels in a classroom, it is important to mix students according to their strengths and weaknesses in order to best support their individual needs.

I have a table area where I meet with students on a consistent basis, but I also have a teacher's assistant (TA) for part of the day. The stools will allow the TA to work with another group in a separate area of the room at the same time that I meet with my group. The pencil pouches, pencils, and whiteboard erasers will allow them to carry their supplies wherever they meet.

The best part is that the stools will not only benefit this year's students, but students for years to come.
