This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
The Lucille M. Brown Middle School (LMBMS), Library Media Center (LMC), has not had a technology upgraded in over 20 years. The items I am requesting would help and support students and teachers to gain interest in visiting the LMC in the future. My students are innovative and inquisitive therefore they need creative academic engagement to stimulate their interest in learning. Many of our students come from low-income communities, however, these students have rich imaginations for learning.
These items will be used to upgrade the technology requirements needed for the LMC to support the creation and development of Makerspaces for our students and teachers.
Please help us, these items are essential and critical in integrating literacy into our Research Book Clubs. In addition to making reading more exciting, as the Library Media Specialist, I would like my students and teachers to always have an academically engaging interactive learning experience in the LMC.
To support our IB program standards and academic brilliance, we would like to provide students and teachers with Web 4.0 applications and technology tools; audio and video supporting academic synergy. These Web 4.0 tools will support the implementation of diverse multicultural learning opportunities.
