My Students

After roughly an entire calendar year, school is finally open for in person learning! When all of this began, we had no idea that we would be away from each other for so long. Scheduling play dates with families and making virtual connections paled in comparison to being with each other everyday. It is safe to say that upon our return, everyone missed each other and students were excited to begin the process of learning in school again.

While it is good to see everyone in person again, my students will require many resources to address losses in learning that may have occurred since our last time together.

We're located in Washington, DC where resources, if open, can be useful to my students. However, in order to meet the academic needs of all of my learners, I would like to utilize resources created by teachers, for teachers. Resources that have been tried and true throughout the teacher community is what I feel would work best for my group of kiddos!

My Project

The pre-assessment phase of the school year will soon be over and then the academic learning will take place. Having a Teachers pay Teachers gift card will allow my students additional methods of differentiation to be completed at school and at home. While my team is able to address many misconceptions that may occur at school, I want my students to be able to work independently at home to achieve the same goals.

Not only will the resources be designed to address and support student misconceptions, they will also be able to challenge students who require little support and are ready for more advanced tasks.

With students in my classroom ranging in different grade levels and abilities, a Teachers pay Teachers gift card will allow me to run the entire gamut of learning abilities for my class.

This gift card will also address a variety of grade level content across a variety of grade levels. Content in all subjects will allow myself and my students opportunities to explore material that may not be included in the curriculum to support their knowledge base. The resources on this platform go beyond the use of worksheets. Games, videos and presentations are also available for teachers to select.

I also wish encourage and support teachers who go beyond the extra mile to share resources with their colleagues. It is my goal to always provide the best instruction to my students. In doing so, I know that many will require supplemental resources to address topics that may have not been mastered the previous year. We are hoping that you will be able to assist us with this project!
