My Students

Hello! I teach in a K-2 school with approximately 1,000 students. Our school has a diverse population of students. My students are smart, enthusiastic, creative, hardworking, eager, and respectful. My classroom consists of students from all different backgrounds. I have high functioning students, low functioning students, and ELL students. My school offers reading and math interventions to aid struggling learners in their educational success.

I am dedicated to my students.

It is my goal to provide an inviting, nurturing, and warm classroom where each student feels comfortable.

Our school does not receive Title I funding. Thus, the technology and resources in my classroom are limited. Most of my resources are supplied by either myself or through parent donations. The environment provided by the administration, teachers, and staff is inviting and nurturing. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of each student that walks through the doors.

My Project

My school system adopted a new reading series. My co workers and I will begin using this new curriculum soon! A new curriculum of any type can be very daunting. I will use resources found on Teachers Pay Teachers to supplement my teaching. Teachers Pay Teachers is a website that allows teachers from across the country to share what they have used in their classrooms to help their students master the grade level standards.

These materials will be used for phonics instruction, whole group reading, small group reading, and writing.

I look forward to being able to provide my students with the best possible materials to help them be successful with reading and beyond.
