Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

If anyone visits our high school, the first thing that is going to stand out to them is the amount of school spirit our students have.

To say that we live and breathe East Side is an understatement.

Our students look out for each other and the community. They're amazing thinkers, learners, researchers, readers, scientists, sportspersons.

My students are mainly Title 1 students who receive free/reduced lunch. We are located in the Lower East Side of NYC and serve a predominantly Black/African American and Hispanic population.

My Project

Teachers Pay Teachers is a great online resource created for teachers by teachers. As an educator, I am constantly creating tools that can help my students flourish and grow as mathematicians.

This site has countless lessons that I can use while teaching both in person and also teaching remotely, during this pandemic.

What is also amazing are the many Math projects that challenge students in ways only teachers know how to.

Finally, the posters that so many teachers have created are not only eye-catching but very informative and helpful. And by using Teachers Pay Teachers I am also supporting other educators; for me that's a win win!
