My Students

This is my first-year teaching, and I am very excited! Our school is full of energetic and eager-to-learn kids. Many of my students in our Brooklyn neighborhood have been greatly affected by COVID-19 and had many family members out of work. For some kids, their time at school is their favorite part of their day. My students need a loving and caring teacher. I would like to set my students up to be successful in class which will enable them to transition back into a school year with the supplies and tools they will need to be successful.

My Project

As I am getting ready to welcome my students back to school, I am trying to assemble a variety of materials to address my students' learning styles and emotional well-being. My classroom is full of children who come from different cultures and backgrounds. I want to create a classroom that emphasizes diversity and addresses the needs of every learner. I want to create a classroom where we can support and learn together. Teachers Pay Teachers is a great place created by many talented and experienced teachers where I can find a variety of materials that can help me with planning my lessons and make learning fun and exciting for my kids. These materials are subject-based, grade-level appropriate, current, and culturally relevant. These gift cards will help me to focus on making my room a community of learners for many years to come.
