Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend a Title One elementary school located in Houston's diverse community of the East End. The majority of my students come from low-income households and are recent immigrants. They are faced with many challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. My students do not let the obstacles they face prevent them from learning. They have a thirst for knowledge and bring a diverse culture to our school.

My students attend online or face-to-face classes eager to learn and are supportive in helping others learn too.

They love learning and cannot wait to return to school! They really flourish in a classroom that is full of engaging activities that allow them to problem solve and create.

My Project

Today's education consists of teaching through technology. Students are accustomed to learning in a traditional school setting, but that has changed. My classroom is now a hybrid learning community. I teach a small percentage of students face-to-face at school while I teach students that are learning from home.

Your generous donation will provide my pupils with a learning experience that will allow me to connect with students of all learning styles, increase student engagement, and enhance the interaction between the students and myself.

The HP Pavilion laptop will help me when I am online with my students via live Teams lessons. This laptop will allow my lessons to run smoothly as I transition from one learning platform to another.
