I teach at an amazing, diverse school where my students love to learn. Due to the current situation I will be teaching my students from home. Remote learning is not an easy task for the students or the teacher. COVID-19 affected a lot of my students' families financially.
The school that I teach at has many different types of students who each come from very different walks of life.
Half of the students come from a disadvantaged background. Not all of them have the same opportunities as countless other kids. They deserve the best we can offer them, and I want to provide that for them. They are kind, caring, intelligent, and excited to learn and explore.
They are the future, so let's set them up for success.
My Project
Differentiated Task Cards are an amazing asset to any classroom. I am requesting Teacher Pay Teacher gift cards to be able to purchase different task cards for each subject and each topic I teach. Each student will be given a photo box with a set of task cards inside the box. These individual boxes filled with task cards will be a fun and educational way to occupy a student while I am working in small groups and students are at their desks or spread around the room. Each card or set of cards will have an answer document to record their answers and an answer key for me to keep track of their progress throughout the unit.
I understand a successful education is one where boundaries are overcome, opportunities are experienced, and possibility is realized.
