Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In Miami, I teach 53 amazing, eager and energetic 5th graders. These students are in gifted and advanced classes with me for Reading/Language Arts. They have been such a great group all year and I couldn't imagine spending my year with anyone else.

They are incredibly bright and ready to grow and I would love to be the teacher that is fun AND challenging for them.

They deserve to have a classroom full of learning, growth, activities and games to help them successfully comprehend all the information expected of them.

My Project

"Want to learn some new and innovative classroom strategies? Are you looking for some strategies that are on the cutting edge and research based?" This is what the conference offers for teachers of all kinds. I am a new (second year) teacher and I have jumped from teaching Kindergarten to gifted/advanced 5th grade and it has been quite an internal struggle for me. I have tried my best to work with the resources I have and attend multiple free PDs. I would just love to have the chance to attend one of these highly effective workshops.

I would love the opportunity to attend this conference to learn new classroom management skills, effective teaching strategies and overall expand my teacher tool belt.

I have heard so many great comments from the past conferences and teachers seem to benefit so much from listening to the speakers and participating in the activities.
