Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I am a second grade ESL teacher in a Dual Language program. This school year, my content area is English and Math. Most of my students have been learning English and Spanish since kindergarten! Many of my students' native language is Spanish.
My students work diligently everyday to learn both English and Spanish.
As an ESL teacher, I should provide several visual cues for English words and vocabulary. Pictures should be in color, but I do not have a color printer or ink to provide a visual-rich environment.
My Project
My students have an interactive word wall. I would like to provide all High Frequency Words, vocabulary, and English words in color with pictures/visuals. I would also like to print books for them to take-home to read.
A color printer and color ink will provide a print-rich environment for my students to learn English.
Our school has black and white printers readily available. When I want to have something printed in color, I need to email my principal, teacher assistant, or reading specialist to print for me. I would like to be able to print in-color from my classroom for my 43 students and the rest of my 2nd grade team.
